New Beginnings!

Already a month here in NZ and I am finally getting around to setting up a new blog! Life has been amazingly busy - if you call reading, walking, gardening, etc. busyness.

I thought I would start off with a picture of a silver fern or ponga - the national symbol of New Zealand. The Maori, the indigenous people of NZ, use the shape of a new unfurling fern frond (or Koru) in their art as a symbol of new life, growth, strength and peace.
